New Years eve we decided to go to times square and party and watch the ball drop. We left home at noon to have lunch and hangout. When we arrived it was so crowded we could hardly walk around. We could not find any place to eat so we started walking away from Times Square several blocks toward where we parked and we still could not find any place to eat. My phone rang and it was Jack. Hello Jack, How you been? Hello Kay I'm doing fine. Where you at? I'm in my office. Where are you? We're all near Times Square looking for some place to eat. Who is We? Tony, Sally, Kit, Bobby, Christine and me. Who is Christine? She moved in a few weeks ago, She bought a flat on the second floor and she is a cross dresser. She is very nice and we all love her. Do you think everyone would like to come up to my place and watch the fireworks? In your office? No in my flat. Are you sure Jack? It's Ok, George and I are here watching the harbor and if you want we can all eat here. Come on up It will be fun. Ok I will see what they all say and call you back. Ok, bye. We have all been invited to Jack's place, who wants to go? Tony asked, do you mean on the boat? No, to his Flat. He doesn't have a flat. Tony he has a three thousand square foot flat. Everybody want to go? Yes and we were on our way.
It took us an hour to get through the traffic to the Anderson Building and up to Jack's office. We walked into his office and George was just walking out. Where are you off to? Munchies he said as he shut the door. Jack came out of the office as we were walking down the hall. Welcome to my offices and My home. We all said hello and I introduced Christine to Jack and I gave him a hug and he hugged me back with a kiss on my neck, Good to see you Kay. You too Jack, I have missed you. Tony asked where do you live? I thought you lived on your boat. Sorry Tony I have lived here all the time I have been in New York.
Come this way. In his office he opened the bar away from the wall and we all walked into his flat. Wow, almost every one said, what a view, this is awesome Jack, Why have you kept it a secret all this time? Tony, you know I like my privacy, well this works for me. George and Kay are the only people I have had here outside of employees. Everyone look around and make yourselves comfortable. George came in with four bags of food and drink. Its time to eat. We all helped set the table and the food out. Everyone kept looking out the windows at the bay and down at the top of buildings, the Statue of Liberty, the boats and the crowds of people waiting for the new year to arrive. Everyone was so impressed with Jack's place and the view. We all sat at the table and ate, drank and talked for a couple of hours. Christine was so impressed with Jack. She kept asking him about our boat trip and he was enjoying every minute of it. Jack turned to me at one point and said, I like her. I do too Jack, I said, she is a lot of fun.
I went to the window where Jack's bed is and sat next to it as the sun was setting behind us leaving a red sky to the east. Everyone moved to the same area and we could see the lights starting to come on around the city. We were very quiet for a while as the sky darkened and all the lights of the city were coming on turning the night back into day.
We all talked and told stories and Christine told us about herself. Her parents were much older when they married and she came along when her mother was fifty five. She has no siblings and her parents have been gone for over fifteen years. She has no living relatives.
Jack had presents for everyone including Christine. He even had a tree decorated. We unwrapped presents and laughed and had fun sharing with each other. George served wine to all of us. Jack turned on the TV to watch the ball drop and the fireworks in the bay. We had a wonderful time hugging and kissing in the New Year. I kissed Jack and Jack Kissed every one except Tony and George, but I kissed them too and they kissed me back. I was surprised that Jack kissed Christine. Jack asked us all to stay the night and we all did. Several people started passing out from the wine and Champagne.
Jack said, I'm sorry about the last month, I didn't plan to stay but I was stranded by the snow. I'm feeling much better now, I have a better perspective about things now. I just had to get my head around it. Are you Ok with me now? Yes Kay. We're Ok, I still have some things to work out. Tony Is my best friend and I didn't want to lose his friendship and George is my friend besides being my employee and I wanted to not lose him either. You won't Jack. You know they love you and anyone in this place would do anything for you. All you have to do is ask. Thank you Kay, that means a lot to me. I put my arms around him and he embraced me and I kissed him softly and he returned my kiss the same way. We lay across the bed and kissed a few times and I looked out at the bay and slowly went to sleep.......KB
