I woke up late this
morning and I heard someone cooking and it smelled good. I went to the
bathroom and found my robe and went to the kitchen. Good morning. Jenny,
how are you? Good morning Kay. Fine and you? Tired, I was on the
computer until about two. I got here about three and you were snoring
away. You should've called I would've picked you up. The girls are next
door. They couldn't wait to come back so we all came. When is the
shoot? April 11th. We are caught up with work except for catalogue stuff
and there is always some of that going on. All three of the girls with
you. Yes and Betty too, they are so excited. I think I will see if Joe
knows someone to drive for us for a while. That's a good Idea, I would
rather they go their own way. I can't keep up with them. They want to
tan today and explore San Diego.
Joe, Hi, We need a driver
today......Yes you, but we also need one for the girls too......
They came in last night.... About eleven this morning..... Thank you
Joe I will see you then. We're all set. Kay are you good with me
taking the model? Sure, Its yours. I want to shop for things for it
and I would like Betty to decorate the other two units. What do you
think. It's a good idea. Is Betty taking one of the units? I was
going to talk to you about it. If this is a three way split, it's
only fair for her to have one. Jenny I'm good with that you take
care of it with her. The last unit will be a guest unit. Ok, thank
you Kay. Is the studio making money? Oh yes we're doing about fifty
thousand a month over the top and The model shoots do about the same
on average and hopefully it will continue to pick up. Companies are
doing more advertising. We finished our breakfast. I have a meeting
at ten so I'm going to shower and dress and go, I won't be long. I
will go and wake the girls.
I walked into Fay's office and they
were waiting, Good morning everyone. They stood and we all shook
hands. Good morning Kay. Well, Do we still have a deal. Yes, yes we
do. Fay has all the paper work. She had them sign the receipts and
they gave her a check for forty five million and they sat a large
suitcase on the table and I opened it,.... Looks good. Are you going
to count it. I smiled, I already did. Fay gave them copies of
everything and the deed. Fay asked If you would like I will record
the deed for you, No, thank you. Our attorney will do it. Ok then
we're done. Yes, thank you both. And we thank you Kay. I hope we can
do business again . So do I. Good bye for now. Good bye. After they
left I ask Fay for the check back. Kay you actually sold that
property without ever owning it. I smiled, Your right. I will talk
to you in a few minutes. I picked up the suitcase and check to go
upstairs.
In my condo everyone was eating
breakfast as I went in. Hello Kay, Hello everyone, You have a limo
for the day, it will be downstairs in the garage at eleven, Jenny
and I are going shopping for the day so you four are on your own so
have a good day. They were chatting about what to do for the day. I
picked up the suitcase, Jenny... she looked at me and I nodded for
her to join me in the bedroom.
I sold a piece of property I had
been working on buying for fifty five million. I handed her a check
This is forty five million dollars! Yes and, I opened the suit case,
and this is ten million. I paid six million for the land after I
sold it. You sold it before you owned it. Yes. She sat down on the
bed in disbelief. you made forty nine million on the deal and you
didn't even own it? That's about the size of it. And you received
ten million in cash? yes but the receipt is for the check amount.
This money does not exist, only to me. Jenny sat there shaking her
head in disbelief, your one amazing woman, Kay. Where do you find
these deals? Was there any commission on the deal? The owner of the
property paid Fay six hundred thousand. and I did my own deal on my
sale, kinda like I did on this building. Congratulations you did
splendid. I'm very proud of you. Where are you putting the cash.
Under the bed for now. Do you want to go shopping today? Not really,
but Joe is downstairs waiting for you. Ok... I will take care of the
dishes you go ahead. She gave me a Kiss and a hug, I'm so happy for
you. Thank you Jenny
I cleaned the kitchen and got
on the computer for awhile and took a nap when I woke I called Fay,
when will the elevator guy be here? tomorrow. Oh, would you order a
safe like the one you have, for me. Sure will, right now. What are
you doing? Nothing, no one here. You mind if I come up? Not at all,
come up. As soon as I order the safe. We laughed She was here in
about five minutes.
Hi Fay, Hi Kay, your safe is on the
way but I bought you a little larger one that is much more secure
with removable wheels. Jenny is depositing the check for me. When
did she get here? This morning and all four girls came too. They're
all staying in the model But Jenny is moving in there and Betty is
taking one of the other units and Betty is furnishing the last two
and one is hers. That's why were doing the key card thing on the
elevator. Kay have you been on the roof? No, why? come on In the
hall there is a door to the roof and we went up the stairs and
opened the door to the roof. These solar panels run the
building electrical and the parking lot and the landscaping lights.
That is so cool and its free electricity to us. Yes.
Over here is a good place to lay out
and tan. Its a service platform, It's huge, twenty five people could
lay out and no one can see because of the solar panels. I have used
it twice before to tan. Call someone and have outdoor carpet put on
it. Good idea. And some lounge chairs. Lets go down. In the hall the
guys were here with the safe. I opened the door and they brought it
in. Into the bedroom closet please. I use the master bedroom it has
the largest closet. Can you take the wheels off. Its on a dolly and
it has no wheels. Very good, thank you. Here is the envelope with
the instructions and the keys and combination. Thank you. Do you
need a check. We will bill you. Thank you again. Fay let them out.
Everything was sealed in a heavy duty plastic envelope. Finally I
was able to cut into the envelope The Keys were sealed and a small
envelope containing the combination was cut. After all that I
actually opened it. I put the ten million in it and locked up. I hid
a key and the combination in a corner of the closet by pulling
up the corner carpet a little bit. The combination is easy to
remember........KB
