Yes we signed the papers
today. We are the owners of the newest condo high-rise in San Diego. Fay
put seventeen units in escrow today and she may have several more sold
in the next thirty days. Four sold for cash and one for half down. We
worked out a deal with Fay, she is running the complex for us and using
our office space, all expenses paid. She pays all the bills, gardener,
utilities, etc. out of the building's account. She deposits all incoming
payments and checks. And keeps the records and books, actually very
simple and she gets twenty five thousand for every unit she sells and
she receives ten percent of the lease property. And we spent forty seven
thousand on palm trees and planters. Fay told me today that Jenny and
Betty paid the two million to the Contractor that I promised. Jenny was
to have taken it out of my safety deposit box but Jenny used her own
money. We have over half of our money back and the payments start in
thirty days on the units that are sold.
Yesterday we went to Sea
World and then to the San Diego Zoo and to the Maritime museum and we
seen more than we could absorb in one day. Joe took us for the tour of
the city. We first went to breakfast at the water front where we
had Fish and Chips earlier in the week. We had lunch at Sea World....
and at the hotel we had dinner. We were all tired. We walked all day.
When people come to San Diego to visit we will say, go and have a good
time. I don't think I will ever go to those places ever again but I do
want to go to Universal Studios in LA, maybe the next time we come to
California.
Jenny and Betty are going
home tomorrow. I want to be here when the furniture arrives. The palm
trees are going in now. they started yesterday and they are hoping to be
finished by Friday. Oh, we did buy some things for the model and our
unit on Sunday and more things today. Mostly decorator items.
I asked Jenny about the two
million and she said it was only fair for her and Betty to pay it for
me....... Kay you had a real sweet deal, you did not have to cut us in
on it and you did without batting an eye. So we thought it was only fair
to do it for you. We both feel good about it. Thank you both for
thinking about me that way. I love you both. We love you too. I will
transfer the bulk of the money out of the building account to the
corporate account each month and the banks will issue statements to the
three of us automatically. This has been a wonderful trip for me, thanks
to you Kay, Yes it has for me too, Betty said. I'm going to miss you
two. When do you think you will be home? I hope by the weekend. Betty
added, your flat should be finished by then but I will call you and let
you know how it's coming along. I hope your new furniture is ready for
your place. I want to shower and go to bed, I'm exhausted. I took a
quick shower and so did the two of them and I dressed in my jammies and
sat out on the patio. They came out a few minutes later. We didn't talk
much. The city lights are beautiful it is so bright after dark. The bay
is outlined with lights as is everything else. I'm sitting here typing
on my laptop and those two are sound asleep next to me. We all have a
busy day tomorrow, It's been a busy week. I better shut this thing off
and get them into bed......KB
