"Kay Brown,
I'm Sorry I told you a fib, I am much sicker than  I told you. There are several rifles in my closet and a pistol in my night stand, they are registered to me, again you can do as you see fit with them. There is money in the knife drawer under the false bottom that I use when I needed it, I gave you everything else. There is a power of attorney in with the deeded rental property giving you the power to dispose of everything as you see fit. The rental properties give me around two hundred and fifty thousand every month. These rental people have taken care of those properties for about fifteen years and very minimal pay out. They paint everything every five or six years and replace carpet and floor covering every five years keeping a quality of standards for my residents. My rents are low and so I have military families in most of the units and I am good with that. You do as you want and change things as you want. They are all yours now. Fay called after you were here last and said for me to give you title to everything. She said you could do much better with giving me what I wanted as to the low income housing project. If any one questions your authority, you can show this letter and my bank has a copy of the power of attorney on file also. signed,  Donald Shields Jr.
Kay You were a blessing to me when Fay told me about you. I had no one to turn to, I wanted Fay to help me but she was afraid she couldn't handle it. I have been burdened with my father's wealth all of my life, I never wanted it. I would have rather had his vineyards and been able to have had a job all of my life. I wish I could've met a woman like you after my family was killed in 1972. You have vision and drive and a softness about you that warms a room when you enter. Thank you for helping me in my time of need and God bless you in your future life. Good bye....Don"

Jenny we need to go back to Mr. Shields' house I want you to look to see if there is anything you want before we leave. We arrived and the door had been kicked open, the place had been tossed Nothing was broken and papers were scattered everywhere, there was a cigar butt in the sink. I opened the drawers in the kitchen the knife drawer was intact, I took the knives out and there was a piece of twine and I picked it up and the bottom came up with it, There were several stacks of money. I picked it up and sat at the table, Joe and Jenny were in the bedroom The bundles were marked ten thousand each and there were twenty seven and an envelope with twenty five hundred in it. I put it all in my bag and put it over my shoulder. You guys find anything? Yes, I want several pieces of this furniture, Joe said I found a pile of twenties in a book in a night stand.  About five hundred bucks. Do you think the detective did the break-in? Most likely. He seems like the type. The beer belly, the cigar, the frumpy hat and dirty suit. We will have someone come move it for you. Joe added I will have it done in a little while. Joe made a call and in about five minutes there was a pickup in front, Joe started carrying things out and the guy was loading them up. Another Pick up pulled up and the detective got out. Hey what are you guys doing. I will have you arrested. I went out. Oh..a.a..Hello. What are you doing here detective? I was..a.. checking for more evidence. Evidence for what. We..aa.. Oh I guess everything is in order. Did you know someone kicked the door in and tossed the place? It must of been the ambulance driver, I will have a talk with him. He said. Sure they did. I think I have a call, I better be on my way. You left your cigar butt in the sink. Joe told him as he was driving away. He gave Joe a sour look. We were all laughing. Joe Can you have this guy clean this place out, He will do that, And maybe lock it up again. I took a thousand out of my bag and gave it to Joe. Pay him whatever he wants and you keep the change. Thank you Kay. He gave him the key and talked a minute and we left to go home. Jenny did you find any thing good? Two pieces match things I have in New York and I just wanted the other things.
We are going to New York this afternoon and returning in a few days and I may not make an entry until return.........KB
