Last night I copied the plot map and did some sketching of what I had in mind. It works out to eight commercial units with 1875 Sq. ft. each or 15000 Sq. ft. for four point seven million and sixty condo units, 1400 Sq. ft. each with double parking garage below each unit at one million each. With a pool and courtyard, solar hot water and solar electricity for the entire project. There is government money available for this project.  It will sell for sixty five million. These will be set up under an association.

           I called the architect and asked him to take a look at the project and he agreed to meet me this morning at my place. Joe drove us up there. We walked the property and he fell in love with my proposal he loved the way it will look when finished. Kay you have designed something I have tried for several years to do and you have done it. I have done several castles but they all came out too big and mine had four walls. Yours have three and a smaller court yard and pool and every unit has a view of the ocean. I love it. The Swiss chalet design will set it off and the steep roof will give every one solar water and electric.  Bob, will you design it for me? Kay you have done all the work, I can turn it over to my draftsmen and they can do this in a snap. The lay of the land is perfect. A drainage pond over there and a pumping station will allow you to water everything. How many trees are you thinking, Kay? Just over two hundred and iceplant on all the slopes and retaining brick for all the walls along the driveway. Yes that's great.

           What do you want out of this project Kay? At this point Six point five million. If I build it I should clear thirteen to fourteen million but seven million now is better. Where did you receive your training Kay? My father was a realtor in Iowa and then in Vegas until he died last year. I grew up in real-estate. And you have vision, much more than most architects, you are very good Kay. Thank you. He taught you well. Thank you. The dredging is going good on the other project and we have all the permits and everything is going really good and corporate is happy. That's good. They think they put one over on you. Tell them to give me a check for seven million and I won't be mad anymore. We laughed. Let me take you to lunch and I will make a call and see what they say. Its Sunday. That's Ok I can reach someone, I'm president of production.

           He made a short call then hung up. He said, We were the money behind your building. We were going to foreclose on the owner and you came from nowhere and beat us to the punch. Well maybe they are mad at me? No, that's just business, they weren't watching their backs. We talked business as we rode to a restaurant by the water in Newport beach. We both ordered fish and chips and as we ate we talked about the view and the restaurant, the food and he said, I would like to take you out. Would you like to go to a movie? Maybe sometime, he said, can I call you? Sure. His phone rang,  Hello....Seven, he looked at me and winked... Ok....I can do it now, and.... She has the deed.... John, you will love it..... OK.... Its a deal. Good bye. Ok, Can we go to your office Kay?  Joe,  Home please. I called Fay and she had all the paperwork in order when we arrived. He gave me a check. Fay gave him the deed and a release form to sign. I gave him my phone number and Fay handed me a check for one million. I signed it and she left to pay for the property and get her commission of one hundred thousand dollars. Bob said, I will call you Tuesday and we can go to dinner where ever you want, I look forward to it, Bob. Thank you Kay. Thank you, Bob.

           I went upstairs and the three girls were gone. Jenny was watching TV when I came in. What is that? I handed her the check and she came unglued. This is for that property? Yes it is, Fay just left to pay for it and get her commission. This is wonderful you made Six million in one day. Is it what you see when you look at things Kay? Well that is part of it I am selling the land but the ideas are what really sells it. I have never seen people do what you do. There are lot's of people doing it. That is how many architects make their money or how they get the jobs they do.

          What are the girls doing?  They said they were going shopping for boys and later to dinner. Fay should be back soon, I haven't had time to talk to her yet. Joe is with her and I want to take a shower and dress for dinner. Where would you like to go Jenny. Right now to take a shower with you. Ok, come on. We did just that and dried each other and laid across the bed. She snuggled close to me and kissed me. I really admire your moxie Kay, I wish I could do what you do. Thank you Jenny. I had a friend tell me once. After you make twelve or fourteen million it really doesn't matter how much you have. That's true and it's not the money at all  You are like a movie star you shine over every one around you. You command respect just in the way you do things. The girls all love you, so do I. Fay and Joe look up to you too. I think that was why Jack felt the way he did, you don't need him any more and it hurt him. I learned a lot from Jack. So have I but you are using what you learned from him. You blew him away when he was here.

           Jenny and I played around for a while and sixty nine some but I couldn't get into it. She was enjoying herself and she did come once but I kept thinking about what she said, The door bell rang and I put on a robe and pretended to dry my hair,  Kay you did wonderful,  Mr. Shields would like to talk to you soon about his property. Tell him I will come to his place in the morning. I didn't think you could pull it off so soon. Joe was amazed at what you did. He said the guy asked you out, are you going? Yes it's business for me. Jenny and I are going out to dinner would you and Joe like to come along? I think so, I will ask him. Fay do you have the rest of Shields deeds and plot maps. Yes I think so. I want to study them tonight before I go over there tomorrow. Joe said he is ready when you are, Oh, I better go get ready.........KB
