Instructions for Repair of Latex Product:
- Clean both sides of the latex product with soap and water. Then
make sure the product is completely dry.
- Apply a small amount of latex with a swab to the area wanted to be
glued/repaired.
- Let this stand for about 30-40 minutes.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 at least 3 times.
- On 4th coat of latex, repeat step one and let the
product stand for 36 hours before wearing the product again.
- To add piece of latex sheet, cut a piece to specific size needed
and glue as directed above.
DO NOT USE ANY PETROLEUM, OIL OR FOOD BASED PRODUCTS ON THE LATEX AS IT
WILL AFFECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE LATEX AND CAUSE IT TO DISINTIGRATE.
Instructions for Surgical Tubing:
- You may wish to place tubing around the strings.
- Simply untie the knot(s) on the string and feed the string through
the tubing. On the "buttonhole" string, you may need to
use some additional effort to get it through the tube.
Instructions for String:
- If you need to add length to any of the strings, simply cut the
desired length off the supply of heavy string matching that on your
product.
- Place it next to about an inch of the string on your product.
- Tie the small string around both ends and assure it is tied
tightly. Cut the string with about ¼" tail.
- Place small amount of latex over the strings, pushing the tails of
the knot into the latex, making it as smooth as possible.
- Let the latex dry thoroughly before wearing the product.
